Covenant Anointing Oil is used in prayer to remember and stand in the promises of God through the new covenant established in Jesus Christ.

“At the Last Supper, Jesus gave thanks and proclaimed that a new covenant was to be established: ‘For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.’” (Matthew 26:28)

This new agreement God made with mankind is based on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Jeremiah 31:31–34).

This promised act reveals a new level of obedience, a deeper knowledge of the Lord, and the forgiveness of sin. Jesus is “the Mediator of the new covenant” (Hebrews 9:15; 12:24), a “better covenant… established on better promises” (Hebrews 8:6), and it rests directly on the sacrificial work of Christ. “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel… I will put My laws in their minds and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” (Hebrews 8:10)

Myrrh represents the purification of our hearts. Pomegranate signifies God’s unending love for us. Hyssop represents protection through His blood. Grape and grape seed oil signify that we are grafted into the vine, and that our life and anointing come from abiding in Jesus Christ.
