Cypress Anointing Oil is used in prayer for protection, separation unto God and standing strong in His presence.

The first mention of cypress in the Bible is when God instructed Noah to build the ark (Genesis 6:14–15), a place of sanctuary and safety, set apart unto Him and separated from the world. The ark was covered in pitch, which is symbolic of the protective, cleansing blood of Jesus.

There is a place in God’s house for you, where you can dwell under His protection and covering, and receive everlasting life. Interestingly, the globe-shaped cones of the cypress tree are covered by woody scales that resemble small shields.

Trust in the Lord and have faith. Through salvation in Jesus Christ alone, we are delivered from our sinful ways and brought into His kingdom of light. We must respond to God’s call, enter into His presence and turn away from fleshly, worldly and idolatrous ways.

Cypress is a very durable and strong wood that stands tall above other trees. In the same way, we are to trust in God’s strength and not our own, reflecting the glory of Jesus so that He may be revealed to all nations, drawing even unbelievers to worship Him.

Cypress was also used as adornment in the sanctuary (Isaiah 60:13). Prophetically, cypress speaks of deliverance from the world and eternal protection in His presence. Stand strong in Him with your shield of faith.
