The Personality Style Blueprint is a complete DISC personality analysis course teaching the four behavioural styles. Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Compliance. It covers identifying your own style, recognising others' styles live in conversation without a questionnaire, and adapting your approach to each. Includes DISC word translation documents in English and Afrikaans, plus video.

You have probably met DISC already

A corporate workshop, some years ago. You completed a questionnaire, received a report, read it with genuine interest, recognised yourself in it, showed a colleague, and then filed it, and nothing ever changed.

That is nearly everybody's DISC experience, and it explains why the whole category has a slight air of the horoscope about it.

The problem was not DISC. It was that you were given a profile of yourself. Interesting, occasionally comforting, and almost entirely useless, because your own style is the one you already navigate by instinct.

The skill that is actually worth having

Reading other people, live, in an ordinary conversation, with no questionnaire and no report, and then adjusting how you deal with them, in real time, while it still matters.

That is a completely different capability from knowing your own type, and it is the one that changes outcomes: the deal, the difficult colleague, the interview, the negotiation, the team member you cannot reach.

There is usually one specific person

Most people arrive at this course with someone in mind.

The colleague who goes quiet in meetings and then blocks things afterwards. The client who wants every detail when you want a decision. The manager who cuts you off at sentence three. The team member who agrees to everything and delivers nothing.

You have tried being clearer with them. You have tried being warmer. Both failed, because the problem was never effort, it was that you were communicating in your own style at someone running a different one.
