“Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move.
Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matt 17: 20. By using the uncommonly small mustard seed as an example, Jesus is speaking figuratively about the immeasurable power of God. Faith is a gift from God and reflects His nature which is omnipotent. The mustard seed is one of the smallest seeds and yet grows into one of the largest of trees.
So just a small amount of faith is needed to do great things. It is not the quantity of your faith but the quality of faith (confidence) you have in God and God’s Word. Have confidence in the principles of the Kingdom of God to remove huge barriers such as mountains. “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Heb 11: 1 and Faith pleases God Heb 11:6
Jesus promises “it will move” [Matthew 17:20]; “it will be done” [Matthew 21:21]; it “shall come to pass” [Mark 11:23]; and it will “obey you” [Luke 17:6].
